A reminder for Greene County residents that many offices and businesses will be closing early today or are closed for the holidays until Thursday.

Those buildings that are closed today and tomorrow are the county courthouse and state offices and the Jefferson Public Library.  Director Jane Millard would like remind everyone that nothing is due to the library when its closed for a holiday.

Jefferson City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, the Jefferson Post Office and the Greene County Community Center will all close early today and remain closed on Wednesday in observance of Christmas.  The post office staff would like to remind everyone that mail will be delivered as normal today, but the building will be closed at noon.

The City of Jefferson would like to remind its citizens that tomorrow’s and Thursday’s garbage pick ups will each be delayed by one day and they request that you have your garbage at the curbside by 6am to ensure pick up.
