The Women for Panora’s Future organization will be hosting its first blood drive of 2014 shortly after we turn the calendar over to next year.
WFPF’s Linda Wendl says the blood drive will be held on Monday, January 13th from 3 to 7pm in Panora’s Community Center. It will be the first of six blood drives put on by WFPF in 2014.
Wendl says those interested in giving blood must be at least 120 pounds to be able to donate, and she recommends that people planning to participate eat a meal before they come in order to prevent lightheadedness once blood is drawn.
All blood given at the drive will go to the LifeServe Blood Center in Des Moines.
Wendl says WFPF is always looking for more people to donate blood, and those who are interested in signing up for the drive can call her at 641-755-2172.
