The Greene County Board of Supervisors met yesterday in regular session.
During the open forum, Donald Dunlop, a concern citizen, expressed his feelings towards a drainage issue within the county’s Drainage District 190. Dunlop says a report was conducted by Jefferson City Engineer John Milligan about DD190 and he told the Board that he didn’t want to be annexed into the district.
The Supervisors didn’t act on the topic, but will further discuss the issue of a private lateral line in the district with other landowners from that district and those looking to be annexed in with it.
The Board then heard several funding requests from the 2015 fiscal year. Greene County Public Health requested $145,000 when they are currently receiving $130,000. ACCESS Assault Care Center requested the same amount as last year of $4,500 and are currently at $4,000. New Opportunities is requesting $5,304 for the Jefferson development center, $6,978 for substance abuse treatments and $7,608 for substance abuse prevention programs. Bell Tower Festival is at $2,500 and requested for $5,000. And Jefferson Congregate Meals is requesting $5,000.
The Board finally discussed its snow removal policy and decided to allow for County Engineer Wade Weiss’s recommendation to add another six miles of gravel roads in the county to be on the no snow removal list.
Roads to be added are below:
– G Avenue between 120th and 130th Street; and 120th Street between Falcon Avenue and G Avenue in Cedar Township
