Lou Guzman’s time as the Panora Chamber of Commerce President is only a few weeks from beginning, and the former Vice President of the organization says he couldn’t be more excited to be taking over.
Guzman says the support he’s received from other Chamber members is what gives him such excitement.
“When they elected me I was actually a little shocked because I didn’t know if I was going to be able to know enough, but I’ve had some experience on boards and things like that so… But I’m tickled pink man I’ll tell ya. I really want to put some effort into it and I’ve got some great people. I mean I saw them work last year and I enjoyed the heck out of it.”
Guzman says he has big plans for Panora in 2014, and that starts with visiting as many businesses as he can in the weeks ahead to either thank them for being in Chamber or to recruit them to join the Chamber.
Guzman adds that helping to get any struggling Panora businesses a needed boost will be another of his focuses in 2014. His first meeting as Chamber President will be on Monday, January 20th at PJ’s Restaurant.
