Greene County Community CenterA new program will be starting up at the Greene County Community Center next week to help those who want to make healthier lifestyle changes.

Wellness Supervisor Simone Lang says they will be offering a 12-week mini program geared toward making small nutrition and wellness changes that can have long-term benefits.

“A lot of people set New Year’s resolutions and it’s great to have goals.  But I believe a lot of people try to do too much all at one time and that eventually leads to burnout.  So these mini goals hopefully can develop good habits and build upon one another over the course of the 12 weeks and solidify some change.”

He adds that every two weeks will be a new goal for people to try and achieve.  The program will start on Monday, January 6th.  To signup, stop by the front desk of the rec center in Jefferson and pay a $20 fee.  Lang points out that you will receive a t-shirt and if you stay with the program for the whole 12 weeks, you will earn your money back.

Call the rec center for more information at 386-3412.
