droughtThis week’s U.S. Drought Monitor map continues to look the same for most of Iowa, with the Raccoon River Valley area still ranging from abnormally dry to severe drought.

According to the National Weather Service, Perry has received 0.11 inches of precipitation so since last Tuesday.  Jefferson has received 0.12 inches and Guthrie Center has recorded just 0.09 inches.

All three reporting areas usually see between 0.82 and 0.93 inches of precipitation during the month of January.

There’s a slight chance of snow flurries in the forecast for tomorrow.
