Greene County Community CenterThere are loads of activities to get youth involved in at the Greene County Community Center.

Director Vicky Lautner says there’s still time for any pre-kindergarten through fifth grade boys and girls to register for the basketball mini cheerleading camp.  She points out that its just like their football program where the high school cheerleaders and an instructor teach the children cheers and routines to perform at the halftime of Friday, January 17th’s girls home basketball game.

You must sign up by this Thursday and pay a $10 fee which doesn’t include a t-shirt and practices will be on January 14th and 16th from 3:30-5pm at the Jefferson-Scranton Elementary building.

And Tot Time has started back up.  This is a program from any child ages five and under for parents to bring their kids for fun at the rec center in Jefferson from 9-11am everyday until May 23rd.

Lautner points out that Tot Time is free for rec center members and $.50 per child for non members.

Call or stop by the GCCC for more information about any of their winter programs.
