The Stuart Public Library recently received a welcome donation from MidAmerican Energy.

Deanna Harwood, the MidAmerican community contact to the City of Stuart, presented the $250 check to Lisa Sherman, President of the Stuart Library Board of Trustees earlier this week.

Sherman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the library plans to use the money for outreach to Stuart’s Community Care Center and The Willows, an assisted living facility in town.  Some monies will also be used to help bring in new after-school activities for Stuart youth.

Director Sandy Pollard says the library is very appreciative of the donation and she’s excited to put it to good use.
