The Guthrie County Extension & Outreach Office has a workshop coming up this Saturday that local 4-H youth are encouraged to attend.
The workshop is specifically geared toward 4-Hers who are enrolled in the Food & Nutrition area of the organization, and know how to cook but lack knowledge about the nutritional content of their food.
ISU Extension’s Nutrition & Health Program Specialist Holly VanHeel will be the workshop’s keynote speaker, as she gives 4-Hers cooking tips regarding a variety of different healthy foods.
Saturday’s program begins at 9am and will run until noon. Included in the workshop will be a grocery store tour at Hometown Foods in Guthrie Center.
Guthrie County 4-Hers interested in participating should RSVP by calling Extension Office Youth Coordinator Mollie Clark at 641-747-2276.
