The Perry Public Library, Perry Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Perry have come together to create a new online calendar to help both residents and visitors know what’s going on in town.

Library Director Mary Murphy came up with the idea while attending an Innovative Librarians Explore, Apply and Discover program this past summer.

She hopes the Perry One Calendar will serve as a “one stop shop” when it comes to finding out when and where events are happening.

Murphy is working to add in information from the city and school district calendars now but what makes this different is that the public can add their information as well.

Murphy and chamber executive director Bob Wilson presented information about the new feature to the City Council at their meeting last night.
