The Perry City Council will meet in a special session this afternoon.
There are two primary items on the agenda, first is the appointment of a new police chief. Current assistant chief Eric Vaughn is expected to take over for chief Dan Brickner who is retiring on January 31st, pending approval from the Council.
The Council will then hold their fiscal year 2015 budget workshop.
The meeting is open to the public and takes place in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building at 4pm.
