It was announced as last week’s Board of Trustees meeting that had record numbers for the Greene County Medical Center’s employee campaign.
GCMC Foundation Director Hollie Roberts says $102,000 was donated by 65% of the medical center’s employees which is the most money that has ever been raised before. She states that because all the money raised from the employees will go toward the capital improvement campaign for the building expansion project, she explains one benefit of contributing to the hospital’s cause.
“So with this over $100,000 it will enable our employees to name a room or an area for the hospital once the capital campaign is complete and we get our donor wall completed as well.”
Roberts comments that it was easier to get employees to show their support by giving them incentives while the capital campaign is going on that they could spread their donation over a five-year period.
“Well, it was wonderful. I think it demonstrates the dedication and the appreciation for their employer and the administration.”
She adds that each employee campaign ends by January 10th.
