A candidate for Iowa’s United State Senate seat will be visiting Jefferson tomorrow.
Former Reliant Energy CEO Mark Jacobs will be stopping by Jefferson’s Uptown Cafe tomorrow at 12:30pm for a meet and greet opportunity with the public.
District 47 Representative Chip Baltimore says Jacobs has a keen business mind. Baltimore states that when Jacobs took over as Reliant Energy’s CEO, the company was practically bankrupt. Through his vision, Baltimore adds that not only did Jacobs save the company, he also paid off all of its outstanding debts.
Baltimore urges everyone to participate in these candidate meeting opportunities for the state’s US Senate seat to learn as much as you can about each individual that’s running.
“I would encourage everyone to come and ask questions. The more educated and informed of an electorate that we have, I think that’s better for the process and that ensure that we’re going to get the best candidates out there.”
Jacobs is running as a Republican candidate and his visit is sponsored by the Greene County Republican Party.
