The ADM girls basketball team ended its regular season on a high note last night, knocking off eighth-ranked Bondurant-Farrar 54-47 at home.
The Tigers and Bluejays were tied 36-36 after three quarters, and Bondurant-Farrar actually got out to a five point lead early on the final stanza. But Coach Brett Watson’s club showed its resilience to rally late and pull off the upset.
The Tigers got great production from their three seniors in the regular season finale, as Madi Bertman, Haley Canney and Kendra Chapman combined for 27 of their team’s 54 points. Brianna Mueller led all scorers on the night with 16–her eighth consecutive game in double-figures.
With the win, ADM finishes the regular season 10-11 overall and 7-7 in Raccoon River Conference play. Throw out those records come 7 o’clock tomorrow though when Region 8 postseason action gets underway. The Tigers will take on Prairie City-Monroe on the road to begin their proverbial second season.
We’ll have pregame coverage of the ADM girls beginning at 6:45 tomorrow night, but we’ve also got basketball action on K107 tonight. The ADM boys take on Bondurant-Farrar. Tip-off is slated for 7:30.
