The Guthrie Center School District has set up a new announcement and alert system to increase the line of communication with district students and parents.
“Remind101” is a text messaging system that sends school updates about weather related late starts, early outs or no school, plus it can send out school related activities announcements. Students or parents can sign up for specific announcements from any one of the district’s three schools.
Those interested in signing up for the service do not need a smartphone, just any cell phone that is capable of receiving text messages. “Remind101” is a free service but standard text messaging fees may apply.
