Time is running out to submit an application for the first Bock Family Foundation granting period of 2014.

The non-profit supporting organization awards grants to groups that operate for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes.

Last fall alone, the Foundation gave more than $97,000 to 27 different causes.

In order to qualify for grant monies, the projects need to take place in Dallas County and be either a non-profit organization or a unit of state or local government.

Spring grant applications are due Saturday, March 1st.
