A Dallas County Hospital employee has been selected as one of the top nurses in the state.
Margo Starr of Perry made the 2014 list of 100 Great Iowa Nurses. Selected for courage, competence and commitment, the list was created by nurse and community leaders as a way to honor those who go out of their way for their patients.
A panel of past honorees go through the many nominations each year to select care givers who show concern for humanity and significant contributions to the nursing profession along with leadership and mentoring.
The nurses will be recognized at the 10th annual celebration on Des Moines during the kickoff of Nurses Week on May 4th.
