The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in Monday morning’s mobile home fire near Van Meter.

Sheriff Chad Leonard says 88 year-old Bob Spurling was killed in the fire early Monday.  He was the only resident of the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s office.
