The City of Guthrie Center will experience a city-wide power outage very early in the morning on Tuesday of next week.

City Administrator Laura Imerman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that officials from Alliant Energy have notified the town of a planned electrical outage from 4:30 to 5:30am on Tuesday.  Alliant Energy will be performing maintenance work on the city’s transformer during that time.

The planned outage was originally scheduled for late January and then late February but had to be rescheduled both times due to inclement weather.
