For the first time since 2006, both the girls and boys basketball teams at Paton-Churdan High School had winning records. The Rockets were 15-8 under the direction of Chris Petersen on the girls’ side, while the P-C boys, coached by Chris Stimson, went 14-9.

Coach Stimson told Raccoon Valley Radio that the kids walked the hallways with their heads held just a little bit higher and had a more confident air about them. He added the 2014-15 seasons look to be strong. “We return everyone on the boys’ team and we expect to get some incoming freshmen that could help us. The girls return everyone except Emma Tilley, and they could see some help from next year’s freshmen class as well.”

Coach Stimson is also the Activities Director at the school and he is the boys and girls track and field coach. Track & field practice began on Wednesday of this week.
