stuart2While it wasn’t as busy in the month of February as it had been the previous months, the Stuart Cottage Pantry still had a productive month helping provide meals to area families.

87 families totaling 244 individuals received food from the pantry in February, and area volunteers gave 92 hours of their time to help the panty with its efforts.

Director Marlis Beeler says a few items are still needed at this time as not all are available at the Iowa Food Bank in Des Moines.  Those items include jam, jelly and peanut butter, along with bar and dish soap and shampoo.  Paper products like toilet paper and Kleenex remain on the list of necessities.

Beeler encourages any area residents interested in donating or volunteering their time to the pantry to give her a call.  She can be reached at 515-523-1301.
