The Jefferson-Scranton and Greene County School Boards will meet tonight.
During the Jefferson-Scranton School Board meeting, there will only be a discussion about some of the fine arts departments including music, art, foreign language and physical education. No actions will be taken during the work session that starts at 5:15pm.
Then at 6:30pm will be the Greene County School Board meeting.
The Board will consider the 2015 fiscal year budget and set a public hearing date for it. They will also consider roof bids for part of the high school building and a suburban purchase. There will be discussions about the the Region XII Council of Government’s Hazard Mitigation Plan and the three year-old preschool program.
There will be a presentation on a tiered diploma program and a student construction house update.
Both meetings will be in the conference room of the South Grade Building located at 204 West Madison in Jefferson and the public is invited to attend.
