A deputy is investigating a harassment complaint in the 100 block of Lovejoy Street in Rippey.
A deputy was advised of a vehicle that had run off of the roadway on 260th Street and G Avenue. The deputy provided traffic control while the vehicle was towed from the roadway.
A deputy assisted the Casey’s General Store in Grand Junction with a patron returning to the store to pay for fuel that was taken earlier in the evening.
A deputy assisted other law enforcement agencies with a drug investigation in Scranton.
Thursday, March 20th
A deputy assisted the Ames Police Department in determining the identity and location of a Greene County resident.
A deputy was advised of a possible phone scam to a resident in the 1000 block of Livingston Street in Churdan. The caller stated that the resident had won an expensive car through Publishers Clearing House and that she needed to go to Walmart and purchase two $500 green dot cards. The caller went on to ask that after the cards were purchased the Churdan resident needed to reveal the identification code on the back of the green card and reveal those numbers to them. The caller would in turn take those numbers to Walmart and get the $1000 for what they indicated to be transaction fees to receive the car. The Churdan resident did not fall for the scam.
A deputy and the Jefferson Fire Department responded to a trash burn in the 1700 block of Quaker Avenue, that got out of control and started a small unoccupied chicken coop and tall grass on fire. The small shed was determined to be a total loss.
A deputy while on routine patrol in Rippey, located and arrested Fredrick James Lonsdale, 40 of Perry, Iowa, on an outstanding warrant for Tampering with a Witness, an aggravated misdemeanor.
A deputy responded to an alarm activation at the school in Grand Junction. The building was searched and found to be secure.
A deputy was dispatched to the Casey’s General Store in Grand Junction to help mediate a child custody civil dispute. The situation was resolved without issue.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
