guthrie center schoolIndividual speeches, group improvisation, choral reading… tomorrow’s Tiger Speech Showcase at Guthrie Center High School will have it all.

Speech coach Angie Larson says the biggest thing that will be on display tomorrow night is her students’ talent, and for those who decide to attend, she promises the event will be worth your while.

“The kids–they are so into this, they enjoy it.  We’ve had some first-timers last year and this year who have never competed in speech the before, but they have caught the bug, they love it.  They themselves have raised the bar (at Guthrie Center), which is awesome.”

And because so many students have helped to raise that bar for Guthrie Center speech, Larson feels tomorrow’s showcase is the perfect way to thank them for their efforts this season.

“We’re going to try to make this a regular event after the speech season so that community members, family members, the student body and faculty, have the opportunity to really see and experience all the hard work our speech students have put in to the season… What better way than to have a special night.”

Admission into the Tiger Speech Showcase is simply a free will donation.  The event begins at 7pm tomorrow night.
