This year’s Bell Tower Festival theme is going to have a homey feel to it.

The “Emerald County-There’s No Place Like Home” is the 2014 theme to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Bell Tower Festival.

Greene County Chamber Director Chris Henning says a 35th anniversary is symbolized by something jade or emerald colored and a take on the “The Wizard of Oz” seemed like a perfect fit.

Henning states that a local high school graduate Krystal Berger who works with Meredith Corporation created the logo.

Not only will the City of Jefferson be turned into a mock Emerald City, but Henning adds, they were able to secure the movie to show during the festival as well at the Sierra Community Theatre.

More details about the festival itself will be announced prior to the two-day event on June 13th and 14th.
