Tomorrow is the final day for all Greene County 4-H and FFA’ers to verify any animals that will be shown at this year’s county fair.

Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says its up to the 4-H and FFA’er to make sure that they’ve identified and verified the correct animals and their information before tomorrow’s deadline.

“All the market animals get put into the system after weigh-in from staff. But breeding animals, bucket calves, horses, dogs, poultry and rabbits all of those animals even small pets that may come to county fair, those all need to be added into 4-H online by May 15th.”

She adds that if you verify any information after that date, there will be a $25 late fee per family until June 1st.

Reynolds points out that the staff at the Extension office in Jefferson can help and there are help sheets available online as well.
