Earlier this month we told you about a Dallas County Hospital nurse who was selected as one of the top in the state.  Today on Let’s Talk Dallas County, we learn more about honoree Margo Star and why she loves her profession.

Star has been a nurse at Dallas County Hospital for the past decade and a half and says often times she’s asked what advice she has for those considering a career in the healthcare field.

“I always tell them the sky is the limit and as long as there’s humans around there’s always going to be healthcare so you know that that’s something that’s always going to be around.  But also I tap into them and kind of figure out their sense of purpose and ask them to challenge themselves on what (they) can bring to the profession.  Ultimately, the reward is that you’re going to impact somebody’s life positively when you take on that profession so I’m always very supportive of that.”
