Panora ChamberThe first ever BACooN Ride will pass through many towns on the Raccoon River Valley Trail at the end of next month, and one of the towns excited to showcase itself is Panora.

In fact, members of the Panora Chamber of Commerce are trying to find ways to lure BACooN Ride participants back to town for Panorama Days in early August.  The Chamber’s Chaille Crandall explains…

“Right now we’re thinking about creating tickets that will give (participants) the chance to come back to Panora and redeem some of our food vendors and businesses.  We still are in discussion with those businesses to see who will accept (the idea), but hopefully these will bring some of those BACooN Riders back to town for Panorama Days.”

Crandall says these tickets will be given to all BACooN Riders as long as they show an event wristband while passing through Panora.

Crandall explains why she believes this simple Panorama Days promotional effort is so important.

“I think there are going to be a lot of people coming through Panora that have never heard of our town and our community, and I think it’s important to make a good first impression.  You never know when you’re going to get those people that look at the community and think, ‘this might be a good place to live or a good place to start a business’.”

And with so much traffic expected to pass through Panora on June 28th, Crandall says there will be just a few opportunities to make that good first impression… so far about 3,000 people have registered for the BACooN Ride.
