Guthrie County CourthouseThe Guthrie County Board of Supervisors convened yesterday for their second meeting this week.

The main order of business discussed yesterday pertained to the Guthrie County Roads Department’s personnel policy.  At the recommendation of County Engineer Josh Sebern, the Supervisors unanimously approved an amendment to that policy that will go into effect July 1st when the new fiscal year begins.

The amendment stipulates that non-union roads department staff will no longer be eligible to receive wage increases based on their longevity.

This change impacts at least five department staff, according to Sebern.

The county’s Information Technology committee then met with ThinkSpace IT to discuss some of the problems that various county departments have experienced with their server and Internet in recent months.

ThinkSpace IT was the company brought in to upgrade the county’s server, but the conversion still isn’t complete.  The county originally agreed with ThinkSpaceIT on a server project completion date of early April.
