Good Egg Days 2014 begins tonight.
Stuart’s always popular town celebration gets underway with a few activities this evening, one of which is a ceremony at 6:45 honoring Stuart’s Citizen of the Year, Jeff Howard.
Howard, who retired from his post as Director of Operations for Stuart Rescue back in April, says he’s humbled and thankful to be receiving such an honor.
“I’d like to thank all the people that nominated for this great honor… and it is a great honor. I like the community and I like the people that live in Stuart. I’ve helped them and the surrounding communities throughout the years, but being in Stuart has been a great experience.”
As he gears up for Good Egg Days and prepares for what should be a fantastic weekend, Howard discusses what he’s most excited for.
“There is the parade tomorrow, several events going on, Nate uptown has the street dances which usually draws a huge crowd. I hope the weather holds off for them, and I hope everybody comes out and just has a great time.”
To hear more from Jeff Howard, Stuart’s Citizen of the Year in 2014, tune-in to today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours on K107.
