The City of Adel an the Adel Historical Museum held a successful fundraising event last weekend when dozens of residents stopped by to check out Nile Kinnick Jr.’s 1939 Heisman Trophy.

The two and a half hour event raised $5,016 for the Kinnick Addition project.

The Adel Historical Museum is looking to raise $70,000 to build the addition to their current museum, honoring “Iowa’s Favorite Son”.

So far the museum has raised more than $58,000.  They’re also selling one-of-a-kind Nile Kinnick t-shirts for $25 at City Hall with all proceeds going toward the addition.
