A deputy checked a reported unoccupied vehicle with its flashers activated on Highway 30 near E Avenue.
A deputy is investigating a road rage concern from a female driver that was southbound on N Avenue and approaching the Highway 30 and 4 intersection. The female stated that the pickup truck began to tailgate and pull up beside her vehicle and brandish what she believes may have been a small hand gun. A description of the pickup and license plate number was provided to the deputy.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff spoke with a female resident in the 500 block of East Hager Street in Grand Junction about the attempt of an out of state person trying unsuccessfully to obtain money by writing checks on her personal checking account.
A deputy was not able to locate a reported male transient walking along Highway 25 near Scranton.
A deputy received an anonymous call about a possible under age party in the 2400 block of 180th Street. The call was determined to be a hoax.
Saturday, June 21st
A deputy investigated the report of suspicious activity at the trailer park in Grand Junction.
A deputy was asked to check for a possible rabid skunk near a building site in the 1300 block of Hillcrest Avenue.
A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Main Street in Scranton for the report of two youth shooting off bottle rockets. The youth and parent were warned not to discharge any more fireworks.
A deputy was dispatched to the 1400 block of 170th Street for a female bicyclist that was found laying at a farm bin site and experiencing severe dehydration. Personnel from the Greene County Emergency Medical Services also responded and transported the female to the Greene County Medical Center where she was treated and later released.
A deputy, while on another call, was assisted by a State Trooper in helping mediate an altercation between neighbors in the 800 block of Chicago Street in Scranton.
A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction for a reported domestic assault call. After an investigation by the deputy, he subsequently arrested Christopher Adelbert Laurent 45, of Grand Junction for Domestic Abuse Assault, a class D Felony, False Imprisonment, a Serious Misdemeanor and Obstruction of Emergency Communications, a Simple Misdemeanor.
Sunday, June 22nd
A deputy while on routine patrol initiated a traffic stop in Grand Junction and after an investigation arrested Thomas Launderville 34, of Grand Junction for OWI 1st Offense.
A deputy checked the report of an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch in the 1800 block of 240th Street. The accident is under investigation upon interviewing the driver when located.
A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department and personnel from The Greene County Emergency Medical Services with helping transport an unresponsive female to the Greene County Medical Center.
A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of M Avenue to help facilitate a family civil dispute.
A deputy responded to 800 Percival Street in Grand Junction to investigate the report of a suicidal person sending text messages to other persons. The deputy spoke with the female and determined that she was safe and they discussed the consequences of her actions.
A deputy checked the report of a youth riding a moped and pulling another youth along the roadway in the 1100 block of Eaton Avenue. The moped and youth were not located upon the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was not able to locate a reported erratic and careless driver northbound on Highway 25 near Scranton.
A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of South 7th Street in Grand Junction to pick up a duffle bag that was discovered on the property. The deputy inventoried the property found inside the bag and logged it into evidence as found property.
A deputy was advised of lumber on the roadway at I Avenue and 190th Street. The lumber had been removed before the deputy’s arrival.
A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a female at a rural residence in the 1800 block of 130th Street. The female was found to be safe and agreed to make a phone call to the family member that was concerned.
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with locating the driver of vehicle that had fled the scene after being involved in a single car accident in Jefferson.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
