The Heart of Iowa Activities Conference softball and baseball schedules resume on the road tonight for the Greene County teams in Colfax vs. Colfax-Mingo. The baseball action is JV/varsity starting at 5:30 p.m. while the softball is varsity only at 7 p.m.

The Greene County teams are coming off Friday night conference  victories in Jefferson vs. PCM (Monroe). The softball victory put the Rams even with PCM atop the HOIAC with 10 wins and two losses. C-M also has just two losses in conference play, but the Tigerhawks have played fewer games and are 8-2.

The baseball victory snapped an eight game losing streak and improved Greene County to 4-8 in the league while the Mustangs fell to 6-6 in conference games. Colton Fitzpatrick fired a three-hitter with seven strikeouts vs. PCM to earn his third pitching victory of the season.
