Panorama Days is still a little more than a month away, but the event’s executive director Chaille Crandall tells Raccoon Valley Radio that registrations for the parade are now being accepted.

There are seven possible categories into which people can enter a float for this year’s parade: commercial, organization or group, novelty floats, antique or classic cars, tractor or farm equipment, fire department or emergency vehicles, and finally, decorated golf carts.

All categories will be judged, and the top three winners in each category will receive a cash prize.

Crandall says she is particularly encouraging area residents to enter into the novelty category to encourage more original floats in this year’s parade.

Entry into the Panorama Days Parade is free and registration forms can be picked up at Panora City Hall.  Crandall asks that float entries be submitted as soon as possible.

Registrations can be handed in to City Hall or sent to Panorama Days Parade, P.O. Box 625, Panora, IA, 50216.

Day-of check-in for the Panorama Days Parade will begin at 9am on Saturday, August 2nd.
