Stuart Rescue aids in a motorcycle accident in Adair County.

The Iowa State Patrol reports 60 year-old Alan Armes and 58 year-old Connie Armes from Somonauk, Illinois were traveling west on Interstate 80, near Stuart in Adair County, at 12:45pm on Saturday, when a blown rear tire caused Alan to lose control of his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Officials say the motorcycle came to rest facing south in the left lane with the vehicle laying on its left side.

Stuart Rescue transported both victims to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines with injuries.  Their current status is unknown at this time.

The investigation is being handled by the Iowa State Patrol.
