Frederick LonsdaleA Perry man was sentenced to probation following crimes in Greene County.

According to court documents, 40 year-old Frederick James Lonsdale was sentenced in Greene County court to two years in prison for an aggravated misdemeanor charge for operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent.  The sentence was suspended and he was ordered to serve two years of probation for the charge.

On March 10th, Lonsdale had stolen a vehicle from Jefferson and reportedly drove off from a Kum and Go gas station in Perry.  The vehicle was later found at 115 South Wilson Street in Jefferson and Lonsdale was arrested shortly after that.

He was previously charged with a Class D Felony for third degree burglary and and a couple of simple misdemeanors, but the State agreed to drop all other charges.

Lonsdale also violated his probation from an unrelated case from earlier in the year.

He was released from the Greene County Jail and will be placed in a residential correctional facility once a room is available.  He was also ordered to pay $625 in fines with a 35% surcharge, $495.78 in victim restitution and $240 in court costs.
