A featured item that is always a crowd favorite at the Greene County Farmer’s Market is sweet corn.
Chamber Director Chris Henning says people can enjoy sweet corn as well as other produce like potatoes, onions, radishes and farm fresh eggs. She adds that Moo Meat in Scranton has been selling their beef products and several vendors offer home-baked goods such as personalized hand pies from the Ram Restaurant.
Tonight’s fundraiser meal will be served by the Greene County Early Learning Center.
Henning points out that there are still dates available in September for any non-profit organization who would like to host and serve a fundraiser meal.
The farmer’s market is every Tuesday from 4-6:30pm on the east side of the courthouse in Jefferson through the end of September.
Call the Chamber to sign up for a meal or to be a vendor at 386-2155.
