The Guthrie Center Fire Department will be hosting a pancake breakfast at River Ruckus this coming weekend.

According to fireman Tom Reel, “Chris Cakes” will be at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds from 7 to 11am this Saturday serving pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice to River Ruckus attendees and town residents.

The breakfast is open to the public and the cost for the pancake meal is $9. The breakfast will be served in a tent by the barns section of the fairgrounds, and Reel recommends those planning to attend to use the east entrance.

Reel says all proceeds from the event will be used to purchase new equipment for the Guthrie Center Fire Department.
