The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.
The Council will consider approving a $2,000 demolition request from the Neighborhood Incentive Improvement Program for tearing down a house at 500 South Maple Street, a 1.5% increase in salary for the Jefferson Police Captain position and amending a charge for grave opening and full burial from $450 to $500 by the cemetery committee.
The Council will also consider making an appointment to the planning and zoning commission, the board of adjustments and appointing a firefighter to the fire department.
Greene County Development Corporation will make an update and request for its quarterly funding and there will be a discussion about ballot language for the Local Option Sales and Services Tax in November.
The meeting will be at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
