Classes in the Perry School District start four weeks from today and this year’s staff includes around two dozen new teachers.

In an effort to welcome the new educators to the district, the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce plans to host a welcome event next month.

Executive Director Bob Wilson says the goal is to introduce the Chamber and Board of Directors to the new staff and showcase the importance of supporting your local community.

Right now the Chamber is looking for local businesses, organizations and residents who would like to help sponsor the breakfast or include their information in the welcome packets.
