With the school year to begin for the Greene County School District in less than a month, registration is happening next week.

Business Manager Brenda Muir says all Greene County students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grade can register for the 2014-15 school year on Monday, August 4th from 8am-7pm at the high school building in Jefferson.

She points out that any student wishing to be enrolled for the upcoming school year must have their home, work and cell phone numbers and emergency contact information including doctor preference and person to be contacted if the school is unable to reach the parents.

Those looking to apply for full or partial waiver for student fees must meet guidelines for the Child Nutrition Program.  Full waivers will also be granted by the school for student fees if a family is qualified through criteria by the Family Investment Program, Supplemental Security Income or the Transportation Assistance under Open Enrollment.  Waivers must be completed prior to the all-school registration date on August 4th.

School pictures will not be taken during registration, instead, they are scheduled for October 7th.

If you can’t make it to the registration date, parents or guardians must make arrangements with the student’s building staff and no early registrations will be allowed.

The 2014-15 school year for students begins on Wednesday, August 20th.
