A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 220th Street. The caller could not remember a description of the vehicle.
The animal control officer investigated a report of a brown dog with a blue collar running loose. The animal control officer located the dog and transported it to PAWS.
A deputy investigated a criminal mischief report to the Methodist Church in Grand Junction. The case is still under investigation.
A deputy investigated a vehicle that was not registered. The vehicle issue was later settled.
A deputy was called to the ball field in Grand Junction to investigate under age use of tobacco. A citation was issued to Benjamin Murphy of Grand Junction for possession of tobacco.
A deputy investigated a property dispute in the 300 block of Lovejoy Street in Rippey. It was found that the bank had possession of residence and was cleaning the yard.
A deputy investigated a alarm at the 209 Main Bar and Grill in Paton.
Wednesday, July 30th
A deputy investigated an alarm at Casey’s in Scranton. It was found that someone had tried to pry the rear door open but did not gain access to the building.
A deputy investigated a vehicle in the ditch at 245th and L Avenue. The driver stated that they were trying to around and slid into the ditch.
The animal control officer investigated a report of a stray cat in the 500 block of Elizabeth Street in Grand Junction. He was not able to locate the cat.
A deputy investigated a suspicious person at Casey’s in Grand Junction. The subject was waiting for his ride to take him to work.
A deputy investigated a report of illegal dumping at the intersection of 140th and A Avenue. The case is under investigation.
A deputy investigated a traffic accident at the intersection of 310th Street and B Avenue. Irene Scott of Carroll was traveling south on B Avenue and was struck by Shawn Degood of Coralville, Iowa, who was eastbound on 310th Street. Irene was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion which was estimated at a total lost. Shawn was driving a 2006 Ford Escape that was also estimated at a total lost. Both subjects were transported to St Anthony’s in Carroll to be checked out. Greene County Ems and Scranton Fire also responded to the scene.
A deputy investigated a fraud case where a brother used the complainants information for a citation that he was issued. The case is under investigation.
A deputy investigated a property dispute over a vehicle in the 300 block of 7th Street in Grand Junction. The car was returned to the registered owner.
A deputy investigated a traffic accident on 230th Street around a half mile west of U Avenue. Alan Ferguson of Jefferson was driving a 1988 Chevy truck and struck a cow in the roadway. The truck was a total loss and the cow was removed from the roadway.
A deputy investigated a female subject riding a bike on 220th Street. Shirley Henry was riding her bike to Boone.
A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle complaint at the intersection of 190th and N Avenue. When the deputy arrived the vehicle was no longer around.
A deputy investigated a 911 hang up that mapped around the same location of the accident with the cow. The was nothing found in the area.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
