A deputy was advised of an eastbound vehicle on Highway 30 near Grand Junction, traveling at a high rate of speed . The vehicle was not located at that time.

A deputy investigated the theft of candy from the Laundromat in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of E Avenue to investigate a reported burglary and theft of power tools from the farmstead.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of a male subject in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched to Grand Junction for the report of a young male being struck by a pickup truck while riding his bike. The youth was not injured and was not actually hit by the vehicle, but the wheel of his bike was run over and ruined. The described truck was not located by the deputy at that time. The deputy advises all riding bicycles to make full stops at each stop sign.

A deputy was advised that he may be needed at a residence in the 600 block of South 15th Street in Grand Junction to assist the family with a juvenile. The family settled the issue without incident.

A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of East Hager Street in Grand Junction to help mediate a family dispute.

A deputy assisted the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with locating a female residing in Greene County that had a warrant from Carroll County. The female was transported by the deputy to the Greene-Carroll County line.

A deputy assisted a Scranton resident in the 800 block of High Street locate her son at a relative’s residence in Jefferson after the two had a verbal argument over lawn mowing duties.

Tuesday, August 12th

A deputy spoke with a male resident in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction about receiving help from the Veterans Administration for medication and mental health treatment.

A deputy responded to reported residential alarm activation in the 500 block of D  Avenue. The home was found to be secure.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants a presumed innocent until proven guilty.
