Last week’s Hot August Night in Jefferson was another successful event sponsored by the Greene County Chamber.

There were 340 entries with 131 coming from Greene County and 209 outside of the County.

The car club that had the most entries and won a $200 prize was RPM Club in Carroll.  Other awards from Thursday, August 14th were People’s Choice for car with the winner there was a 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk that’s owned by Barb Warner from Carroll, in the truck category was Frank Stamper from Humboldt with a 1966 Ford F-100, Eldon Cunningham from Jefferson won the People’s Choice award for his 2012 Honda Goldwing Trike motorcycle and Les Fister also from Jefferson won the tractor division with his 1947 Farmall H Tractor.

This year’s Spirit Award went to Allen Neese of Grand Junction who sported a 1939 LaSalle Series 55 car.
