The Stuart Fire and Rescue Department along with 13 other agencies battled a structure fire that destroyed the Community Building in Casey early Wednesday morning.

Stuart Rescue Director Ron Ross says their department helped with the recovery efforts of other agencies.  They took vitals of the firefighters and provided water and areas to let them rest before assessing them to let them return to fighting the blaze.

Several agencies responded to the incident something late Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning.  Menlo Emergency Medical Services Captain Kayla Gilman says they don’t know at this time what caused the fire but that the building is a total loss.
