As Labor Day approaches, several offices and businesses will be closed in observance of the holiday.

The Greene County Courthouse, the Greene County Community Center, the Greene County ISU Extension office and the Greene County Chamber will all be closed on Monday.

Additionally, the Jefferson Public Library, Jefferson City Hall and the Jefferson Post Office will also be closed.

Library staff would like to remind everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Also, Jefferson residents are reminded that garbage routes will be delayed one day due to the holiday on Monday.  Monday’s routes will be delayed to Tuesday and that pattern will continue for the rest of the week.  Garbage routes will return to their normal schedules the following week.
