A deputy responded to the 700 block of 230th Street to investigate a reported single vehicle accident. A 1997 Chevrolet K1500 pickup truck being driven by Benjamin Robert Jacobson 21, of Jefferson was eastbound on 230th Street when a cow walked onto the roadway and was struck by the Jacobson vehicle. Ben Jacobson was not injured but his pickup was determined to be a total loss. The owner of the cow is yet to be determined.
A deputy determined the owner of a horse that was grazing at large along the roadway, on 130th Street between J and K Avenue.
A deputy helped resolve a child custody civil issue in the 700 block of East Railroad Street in Grand Junction.
A deputy is investigating harassment concerns regarding several male subjects in the 900 block of High Street in Scranton.
Two deputies assisted personnel from Juvenile Court Services in locating a juvenile in Grand Junction and transporting him to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center. The youth was later transported to Eldora.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
