The ADM girls volleyball team made it two victories in two tries over the Perry Blue Jays Tuesday night in Adel, taking their first conference match of the season in straight sets, 25-16, 25-15, 25-13.

Tigers head coach Mary Beth Scott said she was particularly happy with her team’s passing, which she said has improved across the board, as well as the serving of her key players.  ADM had previously beaten Perry 2-1 on Thursday in the Varsity Tiger Invitational, dropping the second set to the Blue Jays, 21-19. That was the only set the Tigers lost in five matches that day.

ADM moved to 14-5 while the blue jays fell to 6-7, though Scott said Perry played her squad tough. Scott noted that Perry kept things close in the early part of each set before the Tigers were able to pull away, and that the Blue Jays are “much improved” from last season.

ADM won’t hit the court again until September 18 at home against Boone, while Perry will host an eight-school invitational Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
