Cropland cash rent rates increased this year in Dallas County.

According to the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, non-irrigated cropland went from a rental price of $260 in 2013 to $272 this year.   Pasture land rental prices also increased $18.50 this year to $62.50 per acre.

Greene County’s non-irrigated cropland cash rent is currently at $268 per acre, and Guthrie County’s land costs $247 per acre.

According to the release, overall Iowa’s non-irrigated cropland rent increased by an average of $5 per acre over last year, while pasture land increased by an average of $1.
