It’s homecoming week for the Adel DeSoto Minburn school district and students and staff have been celebrating since Sunday.
This year’s theme is Starstruck – A Hollywood Homecoming.
Festivities kicked off Iron Man volleyball Sunday afternoon. Monday the Tigers dressed up as people and characters from their favorite movie. Tuesday was awards night and picture day so students were dressed as if they were walking a red carpet. Today is student double day where kids will dress as twins, tomorrow is cast and crew day where students will be dressed in their powder puff or homecoming t-shirts and of course Friday is Tiger Spirit Day where everyone will be showing off their school spirit by wearing black and white.
Tomorrow night is the powder puff football game at 7pm, which is open to the public and followed by the king and queen coronation.
Friday’s schedule is full of everything from volunteering to a student assembly with jersey auction, teacher skit and class games. There will also be a parade and pep rally during the day and of course the varsity football game that night.
It all caps off Saturday with the homecoming dance in the high school commons from 8-11pm.
